The Alpha Omicron chapter is very involved with not only the student body, but through out the community as well. Most of our members have joined clubs or student organizations outside of Zeta Tau Alpha. Some examples of clubs our women have joined include: Medicus, Women in Business, CHAARG (CHANGING HEALTH, ATTITUDES, ACTIONS TO RECREATE GIRLS), as well as a variety of other organizations. Our chapter offers the opportunity to get involved in other organizations and take leadership roles within the chapter.
We also take pride in volunteering for various organization throughout the community. Last semester we we had a combined total of over 800 service hours. Some of these service hours were done at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, The Ronald McDonald House, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. We socialize within the Greek community, and also with other organizations. More than half of our chapter is involved in other clubs and/or organizations along with Zeta Tau Alpha. Zeta Tau Alpha not only encourages leadership within the chapter but leadership in campus clubs/organizations as well.
